Accessibility
We build this site to be usable by everyone, and we want to hear about it when we fall short.
Our target
Glad2BHome is designed and tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
What we have built in
- A skip-to-content link on every page
- Full keyboard operability, including navigation, search, calculators, and accordions
- Visible focus indicators that meet contrast and size requirements
- Semantic HTML5 landmarks and a single, logical heading hierarchy per page
- Text and interface contrast meeting or exceeding AA thresholds
- Form fields with persistent, programmatically associated labels and helper text
- Calculator results announced to assistive technology via live regions
- Data tables with captions, scoped headers, and keyboard-scrollable containers
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, and decorative images hidden from assistive technology
- Full support for reduced-motion preferences
- Text that reflows without loss of function at 400 percent zoom
- No content that relies on color alone to convey meaning
Known limitations
This site is in active development. Placeholder imagery will be replaced with licensed photography carrying descriptive alternative text at launch, and we will publish the results of an independent audit before general release.
